From Dead Stock to One-of-a-Kind
Aileen, our free-spirited owner, has always loved thrifting and sewing, dreaming of designing her own clothing line. While she didn’t have the patience of sewing from patterns, opening Trestles in 2021 set her creativity soaring. Faced with heaps of overstock, she started up cycling, turning baby and kids’ flannels into funky pieces. Then, she got groovy, turning jeans into bell bottoms and crafting tunics, ponchos, and reimagined denim jackets. Now, her up cycled creations are one of the best sellers, loved for their unique, earthy vibe. Aileen has successfully found a way to reduce her company's dead stock and our customers love the sustainable and unique 70's vibe.
